The elite of men’s world tennis will gather at the ATP 250 Țiriac Open, between April 14th and 21st, in Bucharest.
The 22nd edition of the ATP 250 Tiriac Open is gearing up for the start, taking place from April 14th to 21st, 2024, in Bucharest. This international event will bring together top names from the world of men’s tennis, who will compete on the clay courts of the Năstase & Marica Sports Club.

Outstanding players on the singles main draw
The Tiriac Open will host a special competition, presenting an impressive list of players to fans of the sport. Among the top tennis players featured in the main singles draw are Stan Wawrinka, Denis Shapovalov, Gael Monfils, and Richard Gasquet. The current 20th-ranked player in the ATP, Adrian Mannarino, is the main favorite, followed by Francisco Cerundolo, Tallon Griekspoor, and Sebastian Korda.
“The 2024 edition of the Tiriac Open has succeeded in attracting renowned players from the global ATP circuit to Bucharest. We aim to provide an unparalleled experience for all tennis enthusiasts, witnessing high-level matches conducted by elite players. Additionally, we hope to see Romanian athletes making their mark in the international rankings shortly. This is why, in 2024, the Tiriac Foundation is organizing several Futures tournaments to give our players the chance to gain experience in competitions. We also intend to bring an ATP Challenger tournament to Brasov, connected to the event in Iasi, offering players the opportunity to compete at a high level,” stated Ion Tiriac.

We wanted to bring quality tennis to the Tiriac Open this year, hence the top 4 favorites being in the top 30 worldwide. I’ve been eager to see Stan the Man in Bucharest. Among the first confirmed players this year are Denis Shapovalov and Richard Gasquet. Both will need wild cards for the main draw,” said Cosmin Hodor, the tournament’s director.
